Raised in Vancouver, Canada, Jessie took a decade-long detour around the world—living in seven cities in five countries on four continents—before returning home in 2008. Highlights of her time away include graduating summa cum laude from Bryn Mawr College, starting the National Geographic Society’s first blog, and spending ten months leading workshops for local journalists in all but two of Ghana’s regional capitals.
In Vancouver, Jessie has continued her publishing career, running the 2010 Cultural Olympiad’s Canada CODE website and completing a Master of Publishing degree at Simon Fraser University. Following a joint internship with Magazines Canada and Spacing magazine, Jessie led undergraduate and graduate students at SFU through magazine publishing simulation projects before joining the Clevers Media team. Jessie recently joined the board of the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival.
